Gelato, as it should be!
It’s sensational and healthy; it’s the latest taste in town.
Yes, it’s Real Gelato – just as you’d expect to get
in Rome, Milan or Florence. That’s why owner Frank Zeccola is excited
about the opening of his new shop and factory at 108 Kingsway, Glen Waverley
on Saturday, December 18. “We’ve succeeded in bringing the
phenomenal success of the latest gelato trend in Italy to Melbourne and
our customers can be assured they’ve tasted nothing like it before”,
he said.
So what’s the difference?
“We’ve done or research and properly tested our ingredients
in Italy. The final product has been adjusted to take into account our
unique ingredients such as the water, milk, cream, sugar and so on.”
And the result? The flavour is exactly the same as you’d expect
to get in Italy. “Once you’ve tasted our gelato you can’t
eat anything else. It’s truly to die for. Our gelato is made fresh
daily on the premises. All our ingredients are natural and of the highest
quality. The milk-based gelato is 97% fat free, while the water-based
or fruit based are 100% fat free.”
For Mr Zeccola it’s a family dream come true. His father, Giovanni,
was known as the ‘gelato man’ in his home town of Muro Lucano
in Italy, where he started the family business in 1941. A generation later,
the secret recipes have come to fruition in Glen Waverley.
With plans for expansion, Real Gelato’s factory will soon be able
to service many locations around town. So don’t miss out!
